Yin.Skin.Breathe grew from my own need to slow down, reconnect, and feel at home in my body.
Yoga came into my life at a time when I was living mostly in my head — holding a lot of nervousness, anxiety, and tension without quite realising how much my body was carrying. What began as a personal practice became a way of listening more deeply, softening what had been held for a long time, and learning how to meet myself with greater honesty and care.
That sense of safety, presence, and gentleness now sits at the heart of everything I offer.
I’m Gillian Campbell — a yoga and aerial yoga teacher, teacher trainer, sound practitioner, and retreat host based in Glasgow. My work is rooted in yin yoga, aerial yoga, breathwork, and nervous-system-aware practices, with an emphasis on creating spaces that feel calm, inclusive, and thoughtfully held.
My teaching is shaped by lived experience — by learning what truly helps the body soften, feel safe, and come back into connection. I’m particularly attuned to reading the room, noticing subtle cues in the body, and supporting those moving through stress, grief, or periods of transition.
Alongside over 800 hours of Yoga Alliance–certified training in yin, vinyasa, anatomy, biomechanics, aerial yoga, and trauma-informed practice, I bring more than 20 years of professional experience in leadership, administration, and relationship-based work within the health, beauty, and wellbeing sectors.
Before founding Yin.Skin.Breathe, I worked in senior roles with Whole Foods Market, Clarins UK, and Natural Trade Brokers. This background strongly informs how I work today — with clear communication, strong organisation, and a deep understanding of what it takes to build spaces and offerings that are sustainable, well-held, and supportive.
Since 2019, I’ve taught yoga across Glasgow, hosted retreats throughout the UK and Europe, and delivered corporate wellbeing sessions. I also facilitate a 50-hour Yoga Alliance–certified Aerial Yoga Teacher Training, through which I’ve had the joy of certifying new aerial yoga teachers in Scotland.
Whether you’re joining a class, attending a workshop, training as a teacher, or stepping into retreat space, my intention is always the same:
to create environments that feel grounded, welcoming, and human — where you can arrive exactly as you are, breathe a little more easily, and reconnect with yourself at your own pace.
I remain deeply grateful to the teachers who have shaped my path and continue to influence my work: Julie Janson, Nina Vukas, Catarina Aires Mota, and Janet Stone.

This is a great way to experience the benefits of aerial yoga in a unique and fun way. This form of yoga involves performing traditional yoga poses using the silk as a prop. The hammock allows for greater flexibility and range of motion, as well as providing support and reducing the impact on joints. We also play with inversions in this class. I would recommend that if you have glaucoma, hypertension, hip replacement, epilepsy, suffer from seizures or epilepsy you consult your doctor before attending.
The benefits of this practice are spinal decompression, improved blood circulation, compliments a regular yoga practice by offering your body assistance with the silk, lifts your mood this practice can be really playful and many other benefits!
