Yoga symbolises how I connect with life and treat myself and others. In my mid-30s, feeling burnt out from a hectic London life, I returned to Scotland to reassess my life. My yoga journey began unexpectedly in Shawlands' hot yoga studio, where intense 90-minute sessions led to self-reflection. Although challenging, dedicating time to myself started a transformative journey that continues today.
Since then, I have completed extensive training in various yoga disciplines in the UK and Portugal, including seasonal yoga, vinyasa, yin yoga, restorative practices, and aerial yoga.
Additionally, I have attained certification in sound healing and therapy from the Sound Healing Academy, integrating the use of Tibetan Singing Bowls and other instruments into my classes. My dedication to yoga has allowed me to refine my teaching skills, and I incorporate chanting and mantras into my classes to enhance the experience.
I specialise in yin yoga and aerial yoga, balancing yin and yang energies. My classes nurture the body with mindful movements, blending stability and flexibility through patience, surrender, strength, and gentleness.
My teaching style is grounded in a profound passion for movement, community, compassion, and a positive, light-hearted approach. My primary objective is to enhance individuals' physical, mental, and spiritual well-being while fostering a supportive and caring community.

Seasonal changes and Cyclical Living
Samhain is an ancient Gaelic festival and marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the Celtic New Year. Meaning “summer’s end,” it indicates the transition from the warm months to the colder, darker part of the year.
It symbolises transition as the days grew shorter and darkness prevailed, the Celts saw this as a metaphorical descent into the realm of the dead. This understanding of the cyclical nature of life and death is a fundamental aspect of Samhain.
The Super Beaver Moon will be the second full moon of Autumn and will cast a silvery glow over the landscape.
Named by the Algonquin tribe of North America, this full Moon rises at the time of year when beavers begin to build their winter lodges. It serves as a reminder of the importance of community and resourcefulness. This moon is associated with themes of resourcefulness, community, and togetherness.
It invites us to connect in community, to acknowledge the abundance in our lives, and to take stock of our accomplishments of the year. It encourages introspection and pause.
In this Winter retreat we will rest, restore and nourish ourselves and prepare for the colder months ahead. We will embrace moments of movement and mindful stillness as we transition the seasons together.
This stunning space has the most amazing views and sunsets. Surrounded by farmland on a private estate The Lodge is a perfect place to reset and return to nature. It has a private garden to the rear and decking area to the front.
It also benefits from a beautiful open plan living area with a gorgeous indoor fire. The private garden has a fire pit and a wood fired hot tub to view those beautiful, wintery starry skies.

This is a great way to experience the benefits of aerial yoga in a unique and fun way. This form of yoga involves performing traditional yoga poses using the silk as a prop. The hammock allows for greater flexibility and range of motion, as well as providing support and reducing the impact on joints. We also play with inversions in this class. I would recommend that if you have glaucoma, hypertension, hip replacement, epilepsy, suffer from seizures or epilepsy you consult your doctor before attending.
The benefits of this practice are spinal decompression, improved blood circulation, compliments a regular yoga practice by offering your body assistance with the silk, lifts your mood this practice can be really playful and many other benefits!
Soulshine Studio, Biggar
I discovered an absolutely beautiful gem and contacted Louise, the owner, to inquire if she would allow me to teach aerial yoga there. Soon after I was there with my silks draping them on the gorgeous beams. Fast forward a few weeks, one workshop down and many more in the diary.....it's been a huge success and everyone absolutely loved it! You can find the timetable on my scheduling link below.
The Wee Retreat 27th April 2-5pm £45
Soulshine Studio, Biggar 11th May 11-3pm £55
Emma and I met during a Cacao ceremony held at Emma's house. We connected and began our journey preparing a New Year's Day Retreat. It went so well we decided to work together on a permanent basis.
With Gillian's specialty being movement and sound and mine being energy and meditation, magic seems to happen. We love working together and sharing our joint and separate passions and continue to learn from each other everyday.
The space we hold is reflected in our reviews but mostly in the way people float out of our classes and workshops. It is an absolute joy to share this work and we are both passionate about sharing it and bringing together a deeper, richer and more connected way of living.
We look forward to meeting and getting to know you better.
